Cabbages are crops belonging to the large Brassicaceae family, requiring 50-60 days of cycle, depending on the planting period.
The cap collected in early and mid-September is defined as “new” because it anticipates the full autumn season, and is particularly sweet, suitable for tasty salads. There are so many types of cabbage and they differ in texture, sweetness, color and shape: purple, green, round or heart-shaped. Flowers, leaves, buds, stems: you eat everything about cabbages.
Inthe lands of our farmers, this crop is often alternated with important green manures of oats and vetch to enrich the soil, especially with nitrogen, and to fill it with air. Then, until harvest, it receives continuous hoeing and weeding that heal the surrounding soil and protect it from weeds.
