Antonio Damo, for his friends Edy, lives with his wife Giuliana in the homonymous company, in Campagna Lupia.
The farm consists of three and a half hectares of rotating vegetable gardens, and another five hectares adjacent to the father's house and is located a few hundred meters from the ancient area of Lova, one of Padua's little-known outlets to the sea; a sub-lagoon area that still preserves Etruscan vestiges. Paradoxically, the proximity to the sea creates water supply problems which, due to greater air circulation, evaporates quickly, creating water stress for plants.
It is therefore necessary to dose the irrigation a lot, with the consequent costs. Antonio, at first continued his father's work, a contractor, and then began to work directly in his fields from the beginning with the organic farming method. Always attentive to news and present at training courses, he conceived the company in a new way, planting in 1994 (when few did) a two-hectare forest with walnut, cherry, ash, plantain and alder and another one in 2010 of 4000 meters, which in addition to being an organic part of the company with hedges and fields, supplies biomass to a thermal power plant that he later installed.
