Saint-Aulaire, France

The Perlim Noix cooperative now brings together more than 500 nut growers scattered between the Dordogne, the Lot and the Corrèze, in the heart of Périgord.

This region is ideal for walnut cultivation as the structure of the clay-calcareous soils, typical of the offshoots of the Massif Central, ensure optimal drainage and a depth of soil capable of providing a great wealth of mineral elements. In addition, the climate is mild all year round with average annual temperatures above 10.5 °C and rainfall exceeding 750 mm

per year.

In addition to its support and advisory missions to members, the cooperative manages the calibration, storage, packaging and marketing of the 4000 tons of nuts produced in orchards, spread over 3500 hectares.
