Caresà is a type B social cooperative, a non-profit organization by law, also recognized by the Veneto Region as a Social and Educational Farm.
Caresà cultivates, transforms and sells its certified organic products to create concrete, stable and continuous job opportunities, and opportunities for healthy sociality, for people with disabilities or in situations of social disadvantage. Located in Brugine, in the province of Padua, the cooperative was founded in 2008 by a small group of young people who wanted to use the organic method for the cultivation of vegetables, fruits, eggs and cereals to be sold mainly in their territory.
The motto was and is: good and healthy food for the citizens of their territory of life. Here is the choice of direct sales and business transformation. In doing so, it was also dreamed of creating an inclusive context capable of offering training and work spaces for young adults with intellectual and psychiatric disabilities
or in situations of serious social fragility.Over the years, Caresà developed, growing twenty-two hectares and using different cold greenhouses. In addition, there is a company store, a small ready-to-eat business, a vegetarian farm and a farm of white laying hens.
