The Caresà Agricultural Social Cooperative was born from the intuition of five young people who, in 2009, coming from different cultural backgrounds, found in the idea that agriculture can be a social service a common base from which to start the adventure.
Determination and hunger for knowledge make the first steps decidedly taken in the field of organic agriculture and thus a strong collaboration starts with the experiential school and in particular with Andrea Giubilato, through which the field training of new farmers takes place. It was immediately structured as a type B social cooperative aimed at the employment of disadvantaged people, that is, with physical or intellectual disabilities or with social disadvantages (drug addiction/imprisonment). An excellent summary, therefore, of a company that takes care of the territory following the good practices of organic agriculture, and of the people who live there, helping disadvantaged people through employment inclusion.
There is also a close bond with the El Tamiso cooperative, of which Caresà is a member, substantiated by the appreciated contribution to the board of directors of the president Sara Tognato's cooperative, but also by the participation in social life and in the various initiatives that El Tamiso implements.
Over time, the structure has grown and currently involves 14 members (including volunteers, grantors and workers) in the new headquarters in Via Ospitale where, in addition to a well-stocked store, you can enjoy the excellent restaurant of the recently launched farmhouse.
