Big news for the spring edition of El Biológico in Piassa!
www.elbiologicoinpiassa.it First of all, the scenery changes: from the welcoming “living room” of the squares to the beautiful spaces of Prato della Valle, a place from which it is easy to evoke the characteristics of an agricultural market and an ancient place of relations between the city and the surrounding territory. The second news is the inauguration of the party that will take place on Saturday, April 6 at 7.30 pm with a greeting between the commercial advisors of the municipalities of Padua and Venice, followed by the opening of the food stand (which will accompany the entire event), an excellent opportunity to taste the products of the organic restaurant “Bio For You” (www.bioperte.it) at popular prices with the wines of the “La Costigliola” farm (www.lacostigliola.org) and the beer of “The Earth and the Sky” (www.laterraeilcielo.it). Following dinner, always inside Memmia Island, the concert by Gualtiero Bertelli and La Compagnia delle Acque, to close an evening that will be dedicated to Popular Kitchens. The market festival will be held throughout Sunday with the usual audience of farms, bakers, cheesemakers, artisans and associations, all with proposals related to organic agriculture, fair trade and sustainable development. The edition will be enriched by the presence of animals (sheep, goats, chickens, donkeys) to recall the cattle market function (Foro Boario) that was held until a few decades ago in the current Rabin Square, and will re-propose the appreciated opportunity to take a ride in a horse-drawn carriage. Then again workshops for children and adults, guided tours for historical and cultural knowledge of the place and, at the appropriate closing, the Minor Swing Quintet concert. Having said that... all that remains is to participate!
