MATO SITE - Project for Appreciated Tomato Paste.
Gas Biorekk organizes for the month of September, the collective purchase of tomato puree with a self-determined price.

- How much does the tomato producer get paid for the purees we buy?
- How much does it go to Large Organized Retailers and how much does it go to those who work in the fields to harvest ripe tomatoes?
- What type of products are used for weeding and fertilization?
- What type of cooking do we want done for our pastes?

To these and many other questions, Biorekk tries, not only to give an answer, but also to take a “political” position, choosing together with the producer what is the fairest, most transparent and, above all, shared answer.

SITO MATO is a new project by Biorekk, in collaboration with the Agricultural Co-op. El Tamiso, and with the Podere Clara farm in Severino Bozzolan - Legnaro (PD) and other member companies of the Coop.
The project is part of a multi-year process of 'Appreciations' of products, which Biorekk purchased collectively. To create it, Biorekk has set up a website that wants to be the virtual bridge between the final consumer of the sauce and the tomato producer who will compose it - www.apprezziamolo.it
Every week there will be news in terms of work progress and in-depth analysis of the issues that the association will discuss with the producer to choose together the path to follow.
There will be space for Biorekk members to ask questions directly to the producer, to learn more about the tomato market, to get to know more closely all the players that come into play in the production of 'our' past.

In the end, each of us' consumers', will decide at what price to buy the sauce!
Regardless of the market, of large retailers, it will be the critical sense of each of us' consumers' that will decide how much to pay the producer.
Biorekk wants to bet on this value and on the direct relationship with the producer, because it believes that these are the only ways to guarantee sustainable agriculture for the environment, for consumers and for the producer.
