Feast of Saint Martin at the az. agr. The Costigliola in Rovolon

La Costigliola, an organic farm and center for sustainable development of Banca Etica, invites all friends, sympathizers and those who wish to rediscover the ancient flavors of the Venetian countryside, to the festive evening on Saturday, November 10, the eve of San Martino.

The event celebrates the ancient peasant tradition, which sees Saint Martin's Day the end of the hard working year and the beginning of a new one. La Costigliola wants to commemorate this important date precisely with a 'farmer's dinner'.

“Dinner will be based on cereals grown here at Costigliola using the organic method: the menu includes our barley with pumpkin cream, soup with spelt, vegetarian patties with corn polenta. Finally, we will wait for San Martino with chestnuts and wine!” , explains Dario Brollo, director of La Costigliola.

“It has become a ritual day for us not to overlook and this year we want to celebrate it by reading the Agricultural Catechism for the use of farmers,” says Franco Zecchinato, president of Coop. El Tamiso and advisor to La Costigliola “A text to which I am personally attached because I truly believe that only by drawing from the past can a solid future be built.”

The evening is open to everyone: from 18:00 with the presentation of the grains of La Costigliola, dinner at 19:30 where every dish becomes a story of the Venetian tradition, and at 21:30 the animated reading of the agricultural catechism.
