A small family-run farm, the Libralato farm is fortunate enough to insist on the precious area of the springs of the Venetian foothills.
The abundant water that flows underground is available on the surface at an almost constant temperature in all seasons. This allows an optimal condition for the production of the precious “late” chicory which, sprayed with this water, can germinate and whiten in the dark.
In addition to the late radicchio, of which they are the main contributors to the cooperative, the couple Leonilde and Renato are the guardians of a small oasis of biodiversity: in fact, in the company we find a vineyard, an orchard, cereals, various vegetables, all sheltered by hedges and with a mixed plain forest nearby that, in addition to the aspect of recovering the environment formerly present in the Po Valley, represents an effective protection for the quality of deep waters. Members of “El Tamiso” since 2003, Leonilde and Renato are always present on the various occasions and opportunities that the cooperative creates, such as trips, dinners and information meetings, actively participating in its social life.”
