Ca’ Girotto by David Bozza

The Ca’ Girotto farm is located in the countryside of Pernumia, a place dedicated to fruit growing.
The Bozza family, known by the nickname Girotto, has been present in the area for several generations and has always been involved in agriculture.

The turning point in the production method, from conventional to organic, took shape in the mid-80s when Luciano, David's father, became interested in “biological control” with beneficial insects, relating to the El Tamiso Cooperative, which was taking its first steps. Since then, the collaboration with the cooperative has grown ever closer up to the present day when all the production is given to El Tamiso.
Over time, the management of the company passed to his son David and the production opened up to other crops, overcoming the strict fruit vocation and becoming one of the most dynamic and “courageous” member companies with regard to the experiments planned with the cooperative's agronomist, cultivating with satisfaction, for example, “Maranello” corn from polenta, millet, and green beans with mechanical harvesting. Along with his commitment to the fields, David also actively follows associative life, both the “official” one that engaged him as board member, and the “recreational - recreational” one, participating in trips and cultural - training meetings, as well as opening the gates of Ca’ Girotto to co-op initiatives such as the feast of Saint Martin.
