This is the time of great harvests and preparation for the new year, a period in which farmers sum up the past year to understand which productions have fared better, which have better withstood the crazy climate of recent years in order to be able to recultivate them again next year, comparing themselves with other producing partners in order to always be able to offer a good range of products to customers.
We have reached autumn and, with autumn, most of the typical crops of our territory arrive. However, it is necessary to have a little more patience for late variegated radicchi, for black cabbage and broccoli, which become good with the first frosts and excellent with the cold of January. The broccoli (Pajaro, De Lazzari) and capucio (Damo, Caresà) harvests have started, and we had a good result with the production of garlic and onion on larger plots than usual, to guarantee a greater quantity of local product (Bozza Simone, Bozza David, Damo, Caresà). Unfortunately, carrot seedlings (Bozzolan, Bozza S.) went through an unfortunate period and were therefore overwhelmed by weeds. The last fresh beans (Bozza D.), lettuce (Moretto), pumpkins (Bozzolan, Traverso, Damo, Bozza S.) and fennel (Bozza S., De Lazzari) arrive. Leeks (Cà Solare, Traverso) continue to be present and very welcome.
These days the land has been prepared for the planting of autumn-winter cereals (barley, wheat, spelt) and peas. Now they are ready for winter time.
