The Guizzardi Farm is a family-run company, born from the commitment and passion of Maria Adele Guizzardi and Luca Ferri. Their business started several years ago, when Maria Adele, following the closure of the agri-food company where she worked as a chemical expert, chose to undertake a new path in the agricultural sector. Luca, an agricultural expert, was already working in the world of agriculture, bringing with him specific experience and skills.
From the beginning, the company has adopted the organic cultivation method, recognizing in it not only a respectful approach to the environment and people's health, but also a valid perspective of growth and economic sustainability. The dedication and attention to work have allowed the company to expand over time: today it covers an area of about 30 hectares and has a company store for the direct sale of its
products. The company is located in Borgo Mantovano, in the extreme south of the province of Mantua, in an area strongly suited to agriculture, thanks to its proximity to the Po River and the pedological characteristics of the Po Valley.
The soils of the area, among the most fertile in the world due to the mineral deposits accumulated over the centuries, are particularly suitable for the cultivation of cucurbits, such as pumpkins, melons and watermelons, which prefer soils rich in potassium and well structured.Mariadele and Luca give the El Tamiso Cooperative mainly melons and watermelons, cultivated with care and according to the principles of organic agriculture, proudly carrying out a project that combines quality, ethics and ties with the territory.
