The Giovanna Furlan farm was founded in the early 90s when Giovanna, fresh out of college, decided to take care of her mother's land.
The approach to the land was strongly influenced by his uncle, Guido Fidora, a passionate protagonist of the organic and biodynamic agriculture movement in Veneto to whom he gave a strong impetus and contribution to the birth and development since 1973 when he started a path of sustainable agriculture.
The choice of method could therefore only be organic agriculture and even the crops have continued in the wake of the family cereal tradition.
Wheat, barley, soybeans but especially single-coconut spelt and spelt and white-pearl corn (hand-picked!) they are the products of a company that has large areas (27 hectares) and that Giovanna runs together with her partner Giuliano, a surveyor trained in agriculture where her technical skills with agricultural machinery have been unleashed. Since the start of the business, there has been a strong bond with the cooperative to which the farm gives part of the product (the rest is marketed directly through markets).
For a few years, after graduating, Giovanna also worked for the cooperative as an agronomist before starting to deal directly with its land, always maintaining a strong relationship with El Tamiso, which has led her to be involved in the board of directors in recent years.
