In 2024, the El Tamiso Cooperative celebrates 40 years of 'good conduct'.
Many years of social and economic commitment to promoting sustainable models, in agriculture and on the table, especially in Padua, where we were born and grew.
To thank the many citizens who have supported us, we decided to “give” a forest to the Community, because there is always a great need for trees, biodiversity and sociality.
So next November 10, we invite everyone to physically plant the new forest with us, in a plot of land of about 3,500 m 2 in Granze di Camin, made available by the Padua Interporto.
We will do it with the support of the City of Padua, the Citizens Committee of Granze, the Circolo Wigwam Il Presidio, and in particular the “Il Tarassaco” Association, as part of the “Centoboschi” project, for the design, advice and the plans themselves.
Then we will have students, teachers and parents from the Manin School in Padua to animate with a workshop and reading on the trees,
with Laura Walter.
It will be a so-called “forest” plant, in the sense that the plants are very young and small in size, keeping the apical root intact, an aspect that is certainly a sign of long life.
It will need a few years of maintenance, with grass mowing and possible irrigation for the first year, which will be provided by the El Tamiso Cooperative.
Obviously, the forest will be freely accessible and will be dedicated to the memory of Leonio Nardo, a historic lover of the territory of Granze and Camin, and a great inspiration of our Cooperative from the beginning.
