Biotour 2017: bike ride to Salboro!

The second appointment for “El Tamiso Biotour 2017" stars the Biancospino Farm, located on the border between Albignasego and Salboro. The bike ride, starting from the square in front of the Basilica of Santa Giustina and accompanied by a beautiful sun, stopped at the ancient church of Pozzoveggiani, where the expert architect guide Mario Bortolami, of the “Salboro Meet” Association, told, arousing everyone's keen interest, the story of this little-known and precious site.

Around lunchtime, the participants reached the Farm, where Eleonora Berto and Franco Zecchinato did the honors accompanying the group to discover the seed plants selected for the reproduction of Paduan broccoli and “whitened” variegated radicchio, hedges planted between one plot and another to facilitate biodiversity and to act as a barrier against the elements, artificial nests for insectivorous birds and much more...

The rumbling of the bellies has subsided with the excellent culinary offer of the Osteria dei Fuori Porta, in the shade of the fruit trees. Before freeing everyone, the challenge that involved adults and children at the flag game to conclude the very pleasant day!
