The American potato, or sweet potato, or sweet potato, is a tuberous root that can come in the most diverse shapes, varieties and colors, from white, to red, even purple. Famous in its red variant, softer and less filamentous, rich in carotenoids and therefore with an effective antioxidant power.
It has no connection with the common potatoes of the Solanaceae family, in fact it is part of the Convolvulaceae family. It is a creeping perennial herbaceous plant, its white bell-shaped flowers with shades of pink are pretty.
Today, some members of the El Tamiso cooperative cultivate this vegetable by reproducing the herbaceous cuttings from the best specimens themselves.

The Garden of Titti and Toni by Comunian Isabella
In the municipality of Anguillara Veneta (PD) there is the Anguillarese American Potato Producers Association (APPAA), which in exchange for respect for traditional production methods and the use of phytosanitary treatments required by legislation, allowing plants to maintain certain qualitative characteristics, assigns the De.Co. certificate, or Municipal Denomination, which recognizes the origin of the product from the municipality in issue and ensures a high quality index.
Isabella and Olivier, in their organic farm “L'orto dea Titti e Toni”, hold the De.Co. Certificate, a certificate of territorial quality for American potatoes, which are produced only in Anguillara Veneta.
