Biotour 2016: Sunday, June 19 - The Piave wheat harvest

June brings gold to the fields! And we are ready for the harvest and for our third appointment of the El Tamiso Biotour Festival!

The bike ride will take us through the countryside south-east of Padua until we reach the Le Presebelle farm. Giovanna and Giuliano will guide us on a visit to their company that this year cultivated the ancient Piave wheat selected in the Cooperative and adults and children will be able to try their hand at manual harvesting and making sheaves of straw. Followed by picnic on the grass by the Osteria di Fuori Porta and an in-depth study on ancient grains. Upon returning, a short visit to the Benedictine Court of Correzzola.

• Departure: 8:30am from the Benedictine Court of Correzzola (Via Petite Foret, 6)

• Bike route, km: 15

• Time: 2 hours of actual pedaling

• Suitable for children: yes, over 8 years old

• Participation fee: 10€ for adults and 5€ for children over 6 years old and includes a companion, guided tour, workshops and lunch.
