It is online on the website of “El Tamiso”, “All we have left is the vegetable garden! - manual for aspiring urban gardeners.” This is a series of videos that will be released on a monthly basis that will reveal techniques, secrets and “tricks” to apply the organic farming method in your garden. The intention is therefore to involve the increasing number of vegetable growers who want to try their hand at this exciting activity, for pleasure or even for the satisfaction of being able to feed on products grown independently in a healthy and also profitable way from an economic point of view, which, with the current times, certainly does not hurt!
The first episode lets us discover what tools are necessary for our purpose, with detailed explanations on the use of each work tool, the spade, the hoe, the weeding, the rake, the perforated hose... and then we will delve into the preparation of the soil that will have to be plowed, cleaned of weeds, fertilized, etc. This first appointment will be followed by other videos, always on a monthly basis, which will explain the cultivation techniques of the various vegetables that grow in the different seasons.
The idea of a video-manual that could follow aspiring urban farmers step by step in the cultivation of vegetables is the result of the collaboration between Niccolò Vannetti, videomaker and photographer who directed footage, editing, videos and composed the music, and Luca Masiero, collaborator of the cooperative El Tamiso and Legambiente Limena, who oversaw the horticulture part.
