Fratelli dell'Uomo Onlus and Cooperativa Agricola El Tamiso together at Christmas for Conscious Consumption
On the occasion of the 2013 Christmas holidays, Fratelli dell'Uomo Onlus and Cooperativa Agricola El Tamiso renew their commitment to raising environmental awareness and promoting organic and local products with the creation of a Christmas box of excellences entirely from the Veneto territory.
Since 1984, El Tamiso has brought together local organic farmers who express in their products a cultural, social and economic vocation in deep harmony with respect for the environment and for human work.
Fratelli dell'Uomo has been promoting various activities on Italian territory since 1969 to support farming communities in the south of the world, in particular in the field of food sovereignty, the solidarity economy and the defense of the environment and common goods.
This collaboration was born within the Fratelli dell'Uomo program “Together for Conscious Consumption”, to jointly promote a message of sustainability right at Christmas time, usually a time of frenetic consumerism and food waste, offering frugal products close to the traditions and knowledge of farmers in the Veneto region.
In the box it will be possible to find: tomato puree from the El Tamiso members, stone-ground vitreous corn flour, precooked pearl spelt variety from the Cooperative La Terra e il Cielo, Crema di Radicchio variety red “heart”, Chickpeas variety Sultano, durum wheat semolina pasta produced by Coop. Agricola “Iris” has always been attentive to the controls of the individual supply chains, Garlic and Laurel of our territory.
Also included is the 2014 calendar “Let's Go Up China” by Brothers of Man created in collaboration with the International School of Comics: through the comics created by the school's students, we want to raise public awareness of issues related to the theme of the environment and how much everyone's actions can affect the life of the planet... all year round!
